Final Garden Workshop and Lunch!

Even at this late date, there is lots happening in the garden! We will harvest our late, cool season crops like carrots and kale. We will plant the garlic for next season, and spread the compost that will inoculate the soil with new life. We will otherwise "put the garden to bed," to sleep for winter, but ready for Spring. 
In the kitchen, we'll cook a hot meal of hearty soup to warm us up. We'll take the roots and tubers we harvest in the garden and turn them into something aromatic and delicious. Didn't think you like turnips? We'll change your mind. Not big on cabbage? Check out what we are doing with it. Not familiar with rutabaga? Meet a new friend! We'll introduce you to delicious was to use roots and winter vegetables.
